What is an Orthopedic Pillow?

An orthopaedic pillow is specifically designed to help correct your body positioning while you sleep for healthy spinal alignment. Orthopaedic pillows are usually made of memory foam which cradles the head, neck and shoulders to relieve pressure and eliminate aches and pains.

In addition to promoting proper spine alignment and easing strain on sensitive pressure points, orthopedic or therapeutic pillows can;

The Classicpedic pillow supports your head and neck for maximum comfort whilst keeping your spine aligned.

Are orthopedic pillows any good?

If you purchase a high-quality orthopedic memory foam pillow, you should start to feel the tension from your neck and back ease over time - especially if your aches were caused by unsupportive pillows and poor sleeping positions.

How do I choose an orthopedic pillow?

There are a few different types of orthopedic pillows out there, we can help you choose the right pillow for you...

Best Orthopedic Pillow for Neck Pain

Waking up with neck pain is quite common, but this doesn’t have to be the case. Some aches are caused by injury or chronic issues, but most of the time they can be improved with better sleeping positions, a medical-grade mattress and a neck support pillow.

Stomach sleepers are most likely to endure pains, so sleeping on your side or your back is recommended. Whether you are a back or side sleeper, the best pillows for neck pain follow the natural curve of the neck.

Avoiding bed pillows that are too stiff or too high is also crucial, so a memory foam core pillow is the ideal medium - our Classicpedic orthopedic neck support pillow ticks all the boxes.

Best Orthopedic Pillow for Back Pain

Medical-grade memory foam is ideal for back pain sufferers as it gently moulds to the shape of your body, encouraging natural sleeping positions.

The Classicpedic pillow features a quality memory foam core which provides medium support and maximum comfort.

The shape of a pillow can make a difference too. Alternatively, a contoured memory foam pillow features an ergonomic design that mirrors the natural curve of your neck and shoulders. A contoured design is ideal for side sleepers as it helps to take pressure off your shoulders to minimise shoulder pain.

Should I Combine an Orthopedic Pillow and Mattress?

If you want to truly transform your night’s sleep and treat your neck and back with as much support as possible, we recommend combining our orthopedic mattresses and pillows.

When you combine a foam mattress and sleep pillow, you can enjoy the highest levels of comfort and support. Your neck and spine will be properly aligned, and the heavier pressure points will have extra support, such as your head and hips.
