We're really sorry but couriers cannot leave deliveries unsigned for. Try to make sure that someone is in during your delivery time slot. If nobody is present to give their signature in receipt, the delivery driver should leave a card notifying you of an attempted delivery and the details of how to arrange a re-delivery. For more information, including delivery to a nominated neighbour, please see our delivery details page. How will the bed base be delivered?
Most of our bed bases come flat-packed, ready for you to assemble. Divan bases are the exception to the rule. They are delivered as a few large sections which can just be slotted or clipped together.Do you take my old mattress away?

Please contact us to arrange collections of old mattresses in this instance. You can also find alternative options in our blog post '10 Free, Easy and Environmentally-Friendly Ways to Get Rid of Your Old Mattress'.I placed my order yesterday. When will it arrive?

A memory foam mattress is brilliant for back pain. This is because:
1. Memory foam encourages you to sleep with a straight spine and a healthy posture. As the memory foam moulds to the contours of your body, it allows you to sleep in the most anatomically correct position because the mattress is reacting to you.
2. Memory foam reacts to your body heat and the pressure you exert upon it so it supports your body evenly, removes high pressure areas, and eases your back pain – this kind of support is not provided by standard sprung mattresses. What other benefits does a memory foam mattress have?
We could go on for a long time about this point – trust us. But instead, we’re going to sum it up in 5 little bullet points. Memory foam …
Yes, memory foam is ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers. The sanitised foam is resistant to dust mites, hypoallergenic and antibacterial. Mattresses in our 4G Aircool range come with an additional antibacterial treatment on the cover too.
No. Our memory foam mattresses are designed to not be turned over due to the different foam layers which they’re made from. However we do recommend that you rotate your mattress head-to-foot on a regular basis - ideally once a month, but realistically as often as you can.How long can I keep my mattress or topper rolled for?
Most of our mattresses and toppers are delivered rolled up so you can easily move them to your bedroom. We don’t recommend keeping your mattress or topper rolled for longer than 2 months. For more information Visit our rolled mattresses page. Can I wash the mattress cover?
Yes, all of our mattress covers are removable and washable at 30°C or 40°C. However, please DO NOT tumble dry your mattress cover. This may cause the cover to shrink – and this is not covered by your warranty. Can I use a hot water bottle or electric blanket with my memory foam mattress?
We do not recommend the use of electric blankets with a memory foam mattress as they interfere with the performance of the memory foam, which is temperature-sensitive and reacts to your body heat. Ultimately electric blankets, hot water bottles and radiators can damage memory foam. If you’re worried about getting too cold, take a look at our Outlast mattresses or Outlast mattress covers. Outlast is a temperature-regulating technology in the mattress cover which ensures you don’t get too hot or cold.My mattress feels like its dipping - is this normal?
If your mattress is dipping we recommend having a look at your bed frame. If your bed base doesn’t support the centre of your mattress or these supports are broken, your mattress may sink in the middle. If the slats are past their best, you might feel a raised ridge in the middle and dipping either side. In both of these instances, you should consider buying a new bed base. If you don’t think this is the problem, contact our team of sleep experts to help solve the problem.
When you’re sleeping on a mattress which supports your natural sleeping position your body is correctly aligned. As a result you’ll have improved blood circulation - so you may feel warmer because you’re generating more heat. Memory foam responds to temperature so it can be warmer than other alternatives. If you’re concerned about this, take a look at our 4G Aircool, Outlast or CoolMax ranges. All of these mattresses use cooling technology to ensure you reap the benefits of memory foam without feeling too hot. What is 4G foam?
4G foam is a new and improved kind of memory foam - the next generation so to speak. This innovative foam offers all of the comfort and support of traditional memory foam with the benefit of cooling features to combat the traditional problems of overheating. 4G foam has particles within the foam structure which create a cooling sensation when pressure is applied. Our Guru Mattress, 4G Aircool mattresses and 4G Aircool pillows use this innovative material. What is Coolmax?
CoolMax is a breathable fabric which ensures a cooler night’s sleep. This permeable, fast-drying fabric wicks away built up heat and moisture from your body so you enjoy a cool fresh sleep. What is Outlast?
Outlast fabric regulates your body temperature and is a perfect partner for memory foam. This smart fabric stores excess body heat during the night and then releases it back to you when your temperature falls, controlling your temperature and preventing nighttime disturbances due to feeling too hot or cold. It was originally developed by NASA to protect astronauts from dramatic temperature fluctuations in space. Is there any weight restriction on the mattresses?
While most of our mattresses are suitable for a wide range of sleepers, lower density items such as the Essentials range are only intended for occasional use by average to lighter weight sleepers. Full-sized adults, especially users of a heavier disposition, should look at higher density and deeper items as these will offer the support you need (such as our 4G Aircool, Outlast and Komfi mattresses). We recommend heavier sleepers contact our sleep experts who will be able to advise on a mattress suited to your weight band and preference. What does foam density mean?
Density is the primary means of measuring the quality of foam. For more information read our article 'What Is Foam Density and How Does It Affect My Mattress?'Can I put my memory foam mattress on a divan base?
Yes, any bed base with adequate ventilation and support is fine. Most divans feature ventilation holes to let your mattress breathe, however some cheaper flat-tops do not. Make sure to check this as poor ventilation could reduce the lifespan of your mattress. What is the difference between memory foam and ordinary foam?
Memory foam is heat sensitive. So it feels firm when cold and softer when warm, which allows it to mould to the contours of your body as your body heat acts upon it. Other foams do not respond to temperature and so do not provide this unique, bespoke support. How long does a memory foam mattress last?
Memory foam mattresses are one of the most durable types of mattress due to the unique properties of foam. So we would expect an average memory foam mattress to last about 10 – 15 years. However, this is ultimately determined by the quality and care of the mattress. For more info, check out our blog 'How Long Does a Memory Foam Mattress Last'.

Take a look at the label fixed to the top of your package to confirm if it’s the right size. Many of our goods are compressed and rolled for transit which is why it may not look right at first glance. It will just take a little time to expand when you’ve unpackaged it. Normally full size mattresses will be expanded and ready to sleep on within 4 to 6 hours. However for full expansion and settling of the foam internally please allow up to 48 hours. My memory foam item has a strange smell to it. Is it faulty?
Some new memory foam products can give off an odour, either from the new memory foam or flame-retardant treatments (in line with government standards). Do not worry, these odours are totally normal and will disappear after a day or so. However, there are a few things you can do to hurry along the process:
Please check the label affixed to the top of your packaging and ensure that this is the correct size; many of our goods are compressed for transit and as such this will take a little time to expand to full size. Please allow for up to 48 hours for the full and complete expansion of your goods. Can I buy a new cover by itself? I ordered my item online, but I’m not finding it comfortable. What can I do?
